Last week hawaii had 5 earthquakes with little magnitude. I want to know the geological reason?
And the same question goes to Alaska! which experienced more than 30 earthquakes. 6 times more than Hawaii. Why?

The earthquakes in Alaska are caused by the Pacific tectonic plate subducting underneath the North America tectonic plate.
